One of the things on my Summer to-do list for the kids was to create our own puzzles!
I searched online to see if I could find something to help us,
and found these puzzle blanks from Oriental Trading Co.
You get 24 blank puzzled for under $10.00!
I knew I had to get them.
When I showed the kids, they were beyond excited to be able to create their very own puzzle!
What I had the kids do was think about their design before they got their puzzles.
So they each got a piece of paper to practice and draw out their ideas.
After that they got their blank puzzles to draw and color for their selves.
They did amazingly, my little artists!
As you can see, Kiah did a sweet Little Mermaid scene, and Brucey did a Sponge Bob schene!
Zander tried his best to draw people. I love how they turned out actually.
Pretty good for a 3 year old, right! He ended up doing a lot of scribble and doodling too.
They were all very proud of themselves and their new works of art/puzzles.
Oh and if you are curious... the one of the girl was mine.
Just a simple, silly doodle girl. :)
I also have another fun project in mind to do with the puzzles.
So you will have to stay tuned to see what else we do with them!

ReplyDeleteso do these puzzle papers come apart easy or do they need to be cut? Very cute idea amd going to have to give it a try. Will post pics when we do.
ReplyDeleteThey are not just paper, but firm card board, pretty great quality! And they stay together real well while coloring and then come apart very easily too! You dont need to cut them at all. :)
