Making Exercise Fun

If you happen to follow me on my other blog Agape Love Designs,
then you probably know that I have been on a little weight loss journey.
Because of that, The Daddy and I have been doing a lot of exercise.
Mostly at the gym, and some at the house.

The kids always ask if they can go to the gym, and are always bummed we say no.
But they enjoy joining us whenever we get out fitness on at home, or in the pool. :)
So when I cam across this post by Amy of My Little One Room School House,
about a fun game called Fitness Dice, I LOVED the idea!

And I knew the kidlets would love it too!
You will have to check out the post for  how it works,
but basically you have a set of exercises that stand for each number one the dice.
You roll the dice and what ever number it lands on you do that exercise.
Then you roll again to see how many of that exercise you have to do.
For myself and the older two we multiplied the number by 3 (as Amy suggests),
but for Zander we only had him do the number he rolled.

Now if for some reason you dont have any dice handy (we didnt!) I found this site for virtual dice!
So as you can tell from the 2nd picture above, we had Amy's blog post open, and the virtual dice open too.
The kids LOVED taking turns and "rolling" the dice.
They also had a BLAST exercising!!
And they got a kick out of seeing me do it too... Kiah snapped a pic of me doing push-ups.
Its a little blurry, but you get the picture. :)
Now the kids ask me every day if we can play fitness dice.
They are definitely a tough bunch! Check out their muscles!!

When Kiah was flexing my jaw dropped.
She is crazy muscular, though, she always has been, really.
I just dont always notice!
Anyways I am so proud of my kids for being so eager to exercise and be healthy.
And this game certainly makes exercise fun for ALL!
I encourage everyone to try it out with their family.
You will sweat, you will laugh, you will create fun family memories & traditions.

Do you have any ways your make exercise fun for your family or kids?
