Dear Kiah (The Date Night)

Dear Kiah,
A few weeks ago you went on a big date with Daddy.
You were beyond excited! And I too was excited, for you.
This was the third Father Daughter Dance you have enjoyed
since you have started school.
But every time is just as fun and exciting.

You get to wear a special dress, get your hair and makeup done
by mommy, and get to go to a restaurant that you chose
and then dance with daddy all night.

What a special time for you!
I hope you will always have these special memories to look back on.
Of course you know, being the "mama-razzi" that I am,
I took plenty of pictures for your memorable pleasure! :)

Kiah, you are my GORGEOUS little princess!
Look how grown up you look, just barely turning 8 years old!

I want you to always remember you are truly a PRINCESS,
a Child of God, who is the King of Kings!
And so you always deserve to be treated as such.

Even looking away you are beautiful!
Wearing the special sequined butterfly hair clip, that Mommy made you!

One reason I get just as excited for you to go on these special
daddy daughter dates, as you do, is because it gives you an example
of how you should be treated by a man. I know you are still very young,
but I want you to grow up knowing your worth!
I want you to remember, when you are old enough to
date and consider a man for your future husband, the good traits in your
daddy! The way he treated you, and as good as that is, remember that
your future boyfriends and husband should treat you just as good or better!

Look at you! You are stunning! I am beyond proud of you!
Never EVER doubt your worth or your beauty.
Never let anyone bring you down.
Know that you are loved by many.

You have such a kind heart.
You are sweet and thoughtful.
You are SMART!
Beauty & Brains
Look out world!

You are friendly to everyone.
You make so many people happy, by doing nothing more than being yourself!
You have faith!
You love God and you are not afraid to say it and share that.
Have I mentioned how proud I am of you? :)

You are dainty. :)

You are genuine!

You are silly!

You have adorable little dimples that have melted my heart since day one!

Your name means: Seasons Beginning
Which works considering you are my first born
and were the beginning to a new season in my life.
I am so thankful for you.

You are a sister, and an example... a good one at that!
Even though there are days when you like to be the boss, and take on
Mommy's job. But you are loving and also very nurturing, to your
brothers and other kids your own age and younger.

You are a daughter!
And a daddy's girl!

Mommy and Daddy LOVE you sooo much!

Remember we will always be here for you.

Im so glad you enjoyed your date with daddy. :)

Here are a few fun pictures I got of your two practicing your dance moves!

I just ADORE this shot! haha

Simply. Precious.

I Love you my dear, Kiah Isabel!

Love Always,

Memorable Morning Quotes

I haven't always been a morning person.
I used to enjoy staying up late and sleeping in.
But since becoming a mommy of 3 my routine has turned upside down!
I wake up everyday at 6:25AM...Some days earlier.
The sun is not even up at this time!
I get about 30 minutes to myself before my day as Mommy officially starts.

I was thinking to myself this morning about my precious little ones.
In this month and the 2 following this one, Kiah will be 8, Zander will be 2
and Bruce Jr will be 5! I can hardly believe it!
So Ive been reminiscing about them all morning.
Thinking its amazing how much has happened, how they have grown
and how much they have changed, and we have grown and changed
as a family! Then Zander woke up and I realized there are
still SOME things that are the same every day.
here is one thing I can count on everyday..
well at least for another year or so;
Every morning when Zander wakes up, his first words to me are
'Momma eat, Momma EAT!'

No other words come out of his mouth but those every morning.
Until I do get him his breakfast, and then its:
"De-de Momma" Which is his way of Saying Thank you. :)

I was reminded of Bruce Jr. when he was just a toddler.
He was similar in that he only said one thing to me EVERY morning
when we woke up. Those words were:
'Momma milt, Momma MILT!'
Yeah that's how he pronounced milk. :)
Makes me smile just thinking about it.
Like most adults have to have their morning cup of coffee,
Brucey HAD to have his morning cup of milk!
Otherwise he was a big grumpy butt.

Now today he is more like Zander and says to me,
Mommy can you make me breakfast, what do you have?
He sits down at the breakfast bar and I feel like a waitress
taking his order. :)
Today he wanted a toaster strudel, and a cup of hot chocolate.
His usual is normally yogurt, fruit and a begal with "tunella" on it.
No matter how many times I say NUTELLA, he keeps mixing up the N and T.
But I love it. I enjoy the cute and silly way kids say certain words.

They say the way to a mans heart is through his stomach!
I can believe that.. the boys sure do prove it to me!
Especially since they are so similar in this area.

Kiah was completely different!
She was patient in the morning. With her, I could sleep in!
She would wake up and play in her room until I woke up.
On some days I would open my eyes only to see her big blue
eyes staring right into mine.
Makes me laugh just remembering.

My darling little girl. She has always been extremely smart.
She spoke very well at an early age. Not much baby talk.
She pronounced words correctly.
She would tell me good morning. That she loved me.
I would always ask her what she wanted for breakfast.
She always asked for an apple.
I remember one morning walking through the hallway towards the kitchen
asking her what she wanted for breakfast, then saying 'Let me guess..
You want apples for breakfast!'

She corrected me.

'No momma, I want an APPLE, not apples.. I only want ONE!'
Told ya she was a smarty.
Kiah, age 4, in these two photos.

And just for fun, since we are talking morning time.
Here are a few good morning photos! :)

These first 3 are pretty recent ones of Kiah and Zan.

And lastly, I had to add my FAVORITE P.J. pic.
This was Little Bruce Chirstmas morning 2009! :)

Remember how I said I wasnt always a morning person?
Yeah that was before I had these beautiful faces to wake up to.
Ok so I will admit, there are still days when I want to roll
over and stay in bed. And of course, I have bad mood mornings too.
Don't we all?
But all in all, I have found myself more of a morning person now.
I'm thankful for the special morning memories we have made.

Dear Zander

Thank you for giving me a REASON to have a cup of coffee this morning!
You may not have noticed this, since you're, you know... only 23 months old,
and your world still revolves around you. :)
Mommy has been trying to lay off the stuff!
Not completely, but just limit myself to maybe a cup or two a week.
Reasons being that; It's bad for my teeth, I'd like to keep mine
white as long as possible!
And two, Mommy loads her coffee up!
I make myself my own version of my favorite Starbucks drink: white chocolate mocha.
A couple spoons full of hot chocolate mix, and French Vanilla creamer!

Yeah all that yummy goodness, isn't good for Mommy's diet!!
Hence the second reason Im trying not to drink it as often.

Today I have YOU to thank for allowing me this simple pleasure.
Since you decided to make it your mission since 3AM this morning
to crawl into bed with me and your daddy, and do what ever
it would take to WAKE ME UP!

I finally caved at 5:35AM.

Normally I would be grumpy and maybe a little upset with you
from the lack of sleep!
But since Im already awake now, and getting angry WONT turn back time
or allow me any more sleep today, I decided to make the most of it.
To make my LARGE cup of coffee, and ENJOY it, and enjoy you...
sitting next to me.. the wiggle worm that you are,
as I write this quick little thank you note to you. :)

After all.. how could I really be mad at this face, all rosy and full of sunshine!

I Love you Zander Boo! My little Boogey Oogey Oooo!!
Thanks for the morning coffee buddy!
Can you guess what you need a refill of in that cup up there?

Yup... strawberry Milk!
When ever I go to fill up your cup with milk, you like to barge into the
fridge as well, grab the strawberry sauce and shove it at me saying
"Mommy dit! Dit Mommy Momma, Momma"
Yes you really call me Mommy Momma Momma. :)
And I love it.
Now lets Cuddle and Watch Dora!!

'Awwww MEEEEEE!!'

Children Of God {Song Special}

A couple Sundays ago my sister, Mona, sang a special in our Church.
The Song is Children of God by Third Day.
LOVE that song!!!
The end features children singing!
So Mona instantly knew she would have her daughters
Niece & Nephew (Kiah & Bruce)
Sing with them too!
The kids were beyond excited, and a little nervous too!}

You can hear them singing it in the video posted at the bottom of this post!

Here are a few pictures I took of them.
Keep in mind, they are not the best quality.
I was actually so nervous for them, that I was shaking!
I couldnt keep the camera still, and so the pictures came out a little blurry! :(
You can click on all of these pictures to get a full view

You may wonder why I was so nervous?
Well it was the kids' first time on stage, in front of so many people.
Little Bruce is so very SHY! I wasn't even sure he would make
it to the stage and actually stay up there.

When they first got on stage, Brucey looked like he was about to cry!
He had this very scared look on his face.
My heart started beating faster...
My eyes welled up with tears...
I got that lump in my throat..

But he took his big sisters hand then grabbed his mic,
and sang his little heart out.

This is Mona. She sang first, then when it got close to the kids' part
she waved for them to come up. (So it was like a surprise for the church)

Here they are waiting patiently for their time.

This was when they first got up on the stage.. if you double click the picture,
you can see that terrified look on little Bruce's face!

My beautiful Kiah was a natural.
She has never been shy!
They made me so proud, I had tears of joy.

Check out the difference in Little Bruce's expression here!
A smile! So darn cute, both of them!
As well as my beautiful nieces!

You can see just how shaky I was with this next picture..
I have never taken such a blurry photo before!
This photo would have been wonderful, had I not been so unstable! haha
It is still cute, though.

These ones are a little better. :)

These moments I will never forget, and I hope
they never will either!
God is good ALL THE TIME!

Here is the video taken during the service. It starts out at the point the kids join in.
Then it goes into the full song, that was recorded on cd.
Please listen to it all the way through, its an amazing song,
and my sister sings it so beautifully.

I've listed the lyrics below the video!

Praise to the Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ
Our God and our King, to Him we will sing
In His great mercy, He has given us life
Now we can be called the children of God

Great is the Love that the Father has given us
He has delivered us
He has delivered us

Children of God, sing your song and rejoice
For the love that He has given us all
Children of God, by the blood of His Son
We have been redeemed and we can be called
Children of God
Children of God

A mystery is revealed to the universe
The Father above has proven His love
Now we are free from the judgment that we deserve
And so we are called the children of God

We are the saints
We are the children
We've been redeemed
We've been forgiven
We are the sons and daughters of our God
